Many have surmised that if we could place small GPS tags on people for purposes of location identification we would be venturing onto a slippery slope. But a company called Pocketfinder has done just that. Touting 24/7 location information of your kids, cars, luggage, pets, grandparents, phones, etc.
Other uses??
- What about catch and release fishing? How cool would it be to tag "the big one" and see where it goes after you've released it back into the ocean/stream/lake. Maybe it biodegrades in a week or two...
- Farmers have already placed RFID tags on cattle to track movement and health. What about adding a GPS tag and a small electrical devise that would be able to gently encourage the animal to go right or left. The modern cowboy could control a large herd at his desktop.
